Here is a lovely Resurrection Sunday card! As always, supplies and directions are listed below! Heartfelt Creations Dogwood Collection makes this card so lovely, so full of spring, and so full of life! He is risen, indeed!
5″ x 7″ Dogwood Wreath Card
Supplies: HFC Flowering Dogwood stamp and dies, Dogwood Chapel Stamps, Flowering Dogwood and Doves Stamps and Dies, Delicate Border Basics, Flowering Dogwood Paper Pad, Spellbinders Wreath Die, Spellbinders Vine Embossing Folder, Spellbinders Renaissance Tags 2, Spellbinders Circle die, dimensional foam adhesive, Walnut Stamp Paint, Ribbit Prills, Dries Clear Adhesive, hot glue, Cold Press 140# watercolor paper (I use Strathmore), 110# White cardstock, Memento Ink: Rhubarb Stalk, Distress Ink: Peeled Paint, Vintage Photo, Victorian Velvet, Staz-On Ink: Timber Brown and Jet Black, white feather, faux pearls, paper trimmer, flower shaping tools, water brush, scissors, die cut machine
Directions: Using Staz-On Ink Timber Brown, stamp all your flowers and leaves on the watercolor paper, cut out with coordinating dies. Spray lightly with water and ink using Peeled Paint, Victoria Velvet, and highlight the edge of the dogwood petals with the Rhubarb Stalk. Shape the flowers while they are wet, set aside to dry. When dry add Ribbit Prills to the middles with Dries Clear Glue. Stamp your cross scene on watercolor paper, fussy cut around the crosses and around the hills, color with Distress Inks. Cut a “Delicate Border Die” from watercolor paper and adhere it to the back of the 3 crosses scene. Cut your wreath die 3 times, glue layers together and cover with Walnut Stamp Paint, set aside to dry. Cut one piece of 4.5” x 6.6” piece of water-color paper, cut a large circle one half-inch from the top. Lightly spray with water and emboss. Lightly wipe “Peeled Paint” Distress Ink over the paper with a sponge dauber, highlighting the vine/leaf design. With Staz-On Jet Black Ink stamp and cut a dove, add a white feather to the tail with hot glue and put a pop up dot under the body. Stamp “He lives!” sentiment on watercolor paper and cut with tag die. Cut a 5” x7” hinged card base from 110# white cardstock. To make a hinged from the top 5” x7” hinged card base cut 1 piece 5” x 7” and cut another piece 5” x 8”. Score one inch down from the top and bend and adhere to the other piece. Cut two Delicate Borders from 140# cold press watercolor paper, adhere to the sides of the front panel. Cut a light blue piece 5”x 7” from the Flowering Dogwood Paper Pad and adhere to the front of the card. Assemble the remaining pieces of your card: Glue the three crosses piece behind the circle cut out, put 3D pop up dots on backside of entire embossed piece and mount. Put 3D pop up dots put on the wreath and mount on the outside of the circle, stick in a small branch of dogwood flowers on the hill below the crosses. Cut a small dogwood flower from a branch and put it on the middle cross. Decorate the wreath with the flowers, leaves, and the dove. Decorate tag with flowers and leaves, use pop dots and mount the tag under the wreath as shown.
