50th Anniversary

Hi Everyone,

I have an amazing easel card for you today. Check out all the pics to see all the lovely details! I will try to list the supplies but I might miss a few. 🙂

Supplies: 140# cold press extra white watercolor paper, 110# white cardstock (5″ x7″ easel card base), vellum, shimmer pearl paper, gold cardstock, embossing paste, wedding glitter, rambling rose embossing folder, Marianne dies- wedding couple, the top arch, Spellbinders rose & leaf, Sue Wilson maidenhair fern, Cheery Lynn mini flourish & fishtail banner, gossamer white ribbon, pearl/rhinestone embellishments, pearl/rhinestone button, heart stencil, baroque stencil, Heartfelt Creations heart die, a variety of ribbon and lace, foam dimensional bits, a bit of tulle for the veil. 1″ circle punch- for making the pocket on the back. I am sure I am missing stuff, but you get the idea 🙂 oh, Distress Ink: Peeled Paint.

Directions: Cut everything, edge the greenery with peeled paint.  Assemble from base up ending with Roses. Embellish with pearls and rhinestone bling. I left my roses white, but you could add color if you want. Terrible directions, but it took a few hours to put together, mostly because I couldn’t decide “Exactly” how I wanted it. In the end, like most cards, they come together perfectly how you tried to envision them! and in some cases, even better. 🙂

Happy Anniversary!

Hi Everyone!

Wow, time flies! I have been busy with my Farmers’ Market Booth ! Now, that is done, and my card shop is decimated, (which I think is a good thing!) it’s time to start creating some new, beautiful cards!

This wasn’t a difficult card to make, but it was difficult to decide HOW to decorate it!

Supplies: 5 x7 hinge card, Rose creations dies, spellbinder rose leaf die, Sue Wilson maiden fern die, Sizzix ornate distressed frame, chipboard (cereal box) rhinestone bling, watercolor paper- 140# cold press 2 pieces cut 5 x7, pearl shimmer paper- 2 pieces cut 5 x7 distressed edges, rose leaves, prima baroque stencil, heart stencil, embossing paste, anniversary stamp- I used a justrite stamp. Staz-on black ink, vellum, white seam binding ribbon, hot glue.

Directions: Make a 5 x7 hinge card, then fold top half in half to make the easel. Cut one more piece of cardstock 5 x 7 glue to folded portion and it will stand up to make the front of the card. Use the baroque stencil to stencil the 2 5 x7  panels of watercolor paper, set aside to dry. Cut your roses from watercolor paper, ink the middles with spun sugar, shape with a bone folder, assemble with hot glue. Cut your leaves ink with peeled paint. Stamp Happy Anniversary with Staz-on black ink, set aside to dry. Cut two frames from chipboard, glue together, cut one frame with silver cardstock and glue on top. brush with some white acrylic paint to dull the silver a bit. Assemble the card as shown in the pics. Insert a bow made from seam binding ribbon.

The pocket on the back of the card was made with a leftover rose and some paper. I stenciled the heart, cut the paper to fit the space and cut another one to make the pocket. Use a 1 inch hole punch to make a half circle punch for sliding the card in and out. Cut a piece of cardstock to fit inside, hole punch, put on some ribbon, glue a flower and some leaves. Insert into the pocket. Glue the pocket on the back of the card.  Enjoy!

50th Card

50th Anniversary Yellow Rose Full Front - Copy - Copy.jpgHI Everyone,

Here is a beautiful card I created using Spellbinders roses, watercolor paper and ink and a few more items! It’s not difficult, but the result is stunning!

Supplies: Tim Holtz distress ink- honey and forest moss, 6 x 6 white card base, 5 3/4 x 5 3/4 gold card stock square for the front and two for the inside, 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 white square for the front and two for the inside, die cut frame from white cardstock and matching flourishes from gold cardstock both die cuts from Couture Creations, butterfly from Memory Box – cut one from gold cardstock, cut 12 rose leaves by Cheery Lynn from watercolor paper, cut 50 from gold cardstock.

Directions: Layer gold and white cut outs on your card base and adhere, use foam adhesive for the white frame layer to “pop it up” and give it height. Cut out a butterfly, adhere to the upper right corner. Die cut roses from water color paper and paint with ink- change up the color if you want- assemble the flowers. Arrange all your items on your card and use a strong adhesive. (I used hot glue) Double matt the inside with gold cardstock and white cardstock.
